Day 63 Is That You, Lord?

Psalms 121:1-3 I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From ...

3/4/2025

Whew!! This was a busy and long day! Tomorrow I have an appointment, and I have been working on paper work all day in preparation. It is also my prayer night meeting, and tonight President Trump's meeting with Congress. I generally don't have the wherewithal mentally to listen to these things, but as an American citizen, I need to know what is going on. As an intercessor, I need to know how to pray. What a conundrum!

Yesterday morning I got up earlier than I usually do, so I could have longer with Abba before the daily prayer call from Israel. I must have nodded off again for a brief moment, and I remember seeing something, but once more I was jolted out of this slumber. I heard a voice say, "Do not trust them, they lie." I had been praying about the war, asking for wisdom for PM Benjamin Netanyahu, and about Hamas wanting to negotiate for the next phase and hostage release, and other things prior to drifting off. I was listening to favorite music again, familiar friends. But when I hear a response, it surprises me, and I wonder whose speaking. In fact I remember saying, "What?! Trust who?" I figured it was just one of my meandering thoughts, but I'm not so sure.

There's so much confusion, and so much going on everywhere, and the spiritual warfare is getting more intense. It's not a time of relaxing, or a time of complaining and spreading lies and creating conflict, as many are doing. The enemy loves causing discord and unrest, and noise, so very much noise. Where is the church? Do they realize what is happening? Are they concerned? If so, why is so little said about it? The story must be told.

The song, "He Will Come and Save" by Don Moen, Integrity Music, kept playing over in my mind:

"Say to those who are fearful-heartedDo not be afraidThe Lord your God is strongAnd with His mighty armsWhen you call out His nameHe will come and save

He will come and save youHe will come and save youSay to the weary oneYour God will surely comeHe will come and save you

He will come and save youHe will come and save youLift up your eyes to HimYou will arise againHe will come and save you

Say to those who are broken-heartedDo not lose your faithThe Lord your God is strongAnd with his loving armsWhen you call on His nameHe will come and save

He will come and save youHe will come and save youSay to the weary oneYour God will surely comeHe will come and save you

He will come and save youHe will come and save youLift up your eyes to HimYou will arise againHe will come and save you

You'll be our refuge in the day of troubleYou'll be our shelter in the time of stormYou'll be our tower in the day of great sorrowYou'll be Our fortress in the time of war

He will come and save youHe will come and save youSay to the weary oneYour God will surely comeHe will come and save you

He will come and save youHe will come and save youLift up your eyes to HimYou will arise againHe will come and save youLift up your eyes to HimYou will arise againHe will come and save youLift up your eyes to HimYou will arise againHe will come and save you"

I'm not sure why this song became my focus. Sometimes I feel as if I've drifted off into the Twilight Zone. I half expected Rod Sterling to step out and say, "There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity...". I don't know about a fifth dimension, but there are three heavens, and the spiritual war is going on in the second heaven, manifesting physically in the first. The weather has been adverse everywhere. My laptop is acting so strangely tonight that anything could be happening. Plus, I can't seem to type anything correctly, that could be caused by the effects of the last head injury. Who knows? Our God does, and He is in control. But we must pray, repent, and as He told me, continue to "stand."

By early evening I was in a bit of "what's next" frame of mind. Time passes rather quickly, and I hurried to finish was was needed before the 7 pm prayer call. Discussion and prayers were primarily for America, although Israel and America are very closely linked. I decided that I wanted to pray for the hostages, using the scriptures, but I felt so inept. I actually get physically ill each time I try to pray, and I always pray God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven. There's something amiss in all of this, but I cannot put my finger on it. As I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, as I pray for America, and as I pray for the persecuted church, I must find a place of peace to be able to discern the shadows and glimpses I feel so deeply lie in the wake.
