Day 70 Questions and Boundaries

" He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep

to gain what he cannot lose."

Jim Elliot

It was another one of those days. My morning began with songs of adoration, and I woke feeling so loved and embraced by my one true love. Sometimes I open my eyes with a song in my heart and a hymn of praise unto my God. I pull myself up, and as I am sitting on the side of the bed, a heaviness tries to steal the day of any joy and peace. The morning can begin with enthusiasm over one word, one sound, one harmony, joy flooding my soul. But it can be a momentary escape to a place of grief and loss of well-being as I consider the events of a single day.

Some have tried to have me change my priorities, but when God says to do, I do. I toughen up and hang on, because my trust is not in man, but in God. Much escapes a human's eyes, so I try to post what I know is not being shown on regular news channels. I pray about everything I post, and every remark I make. My hide has gotten pretty tough, so I am not as affected by any remarks that may come my way. Thankfully, I've not seen any such comments, but we each have a decision to make. 1 Kings 18:21 Elijah says to the people: "And Elijah came to all the people, and said, 'How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him. But the people answered him not a word."' In Joshua 24:15 he tells the people: "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." It's that time now. It's long overdue. Silence fills the churches. Criticism spills over into the world, and the entire globe is in an upheaval in one way or another.

I started to write about this before, but I stopped myself, but it needs to be said. I have a series of questions, and maybe I've asked before, but because of ongoing events, I must say it again, and again.

There's certain things I don't understand. How can the church remain silent when babies are murdered, left to die on tables, body parts sold for profit without a tear. Used in animal research. Carried for four months, then the fetus is removed from the mother for the express purpose of live research; the up side being they can only torture and destruct the fetus for five months, unless the time was extended. I could say more about procedures, but I wouldn't want to hurt those who are sensitive to truth.

How can people be slaughtered every day in poor areas of the world and no one cares. Why do most churches only send missionaries to areas that are safer, but skip the ones where the needs are higher, but the risk is greater? Nigeria was taken off the list for the threat is daily. Mozambique, Now beheadings in the Congo. Hostages still in Israel. Eritrea. North Korea. China. Myanmar. Should I go on?

Why are pedophiles let out of prison, on the basis that this behavior is acceptable?

Why are church revivals only for the members to feel refreshed and better about themselves? No tears. No repentance. No self-examination.

Why do pastors have to ask the congregation if their preaching is good.

Why do people care more about animals than human beings?

How can a pastor or Christian say they love Jesus and kill babies. Rush to okay things that are abominable to God. Vote for a leader who runs to sign death sentences to end life.

How can a political party or any decent human being sit defiantly with arms crossed in their seats when:

1. A young man, 13 years old, DJ Daniel, diagnosed with brain cancer, who wants to be a police officer, is awarded an honorary secret service badge?

2. The family of Laken Riley, a 22 years old Augusta University Nursing student who was murdered while she was jogging at the University of Georgia by an illegal immigrant, was recognized and The Laken Riley Act was made law.

3. The family of Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12 year old girl from Texas, was honored by President Trump and a wildlife sanctuary renamed in her memory. Jocelyn was viciously murdered by illegal immigrants.

Why didn't the church thank God for His mercy in the 2024 election and fall flat on their face in worship,  recognizing the hand of God.

Regardless of what man or the church does, God will be glorified in this nation, and one day all men will see and understand that God is indeed in control, and He will be receive all honor.
