Day 164 Tzeva Adom

This may contain: a lion with its mouth open and the words hail hail hail, lion of judah let the lion roar

6/13/2025

"God brings him out of Egypt; He has strength like a wild ox;

He shall consume the nations, his enemies;

He shall break their bones and pierce them with his arrows.

'He bows down, he lies down as a lion;

and as a lion, who shall rouse him?'"

Another early morning wake up call! More early calls regarding the events of last evening, early morning for Israel. Calls were optimistic, yet now, waiting for the axe of retaliation to fall. Can you imagine living like this every day? Just a look at Israel's history tells the story of a resilient people who hold fast to the inheritance God has given them, as confirmed from scripture. I'm glad they stand with America and consider her a true friend, now that President Trump is back in office. Like Benjamin Netanyahu, our President keeps his word, even when circumstances may not always appear so. I am happy to report that my confidence in our President was well placed. As the day continued, the truth of what I already believed in my heart, proved true. This should serve as a reminder to people of prayer about dwelling in the secret places. God is faithful to show us the truth and to make it widely known to those who have any doubts or hesitations. This is relationship.

The Red Alerts came early on, and persisted until late evening for me, early morning in Israel. Every few minutes I heard either a quick tone alerting of impending threats, warning the people to get into their safe places, following in seconds with the words "Tzeva Adom" meaning Red Alert in Hebrew. I opted for that one against the piercing tones, to alert me so I could man the wall and pray. Not that we ever stop praying, but just in case we've drifted off and are resting our heads against the wall, alerts are useful.

For anyone who's paid attention to the news of what has been happening today in Israel, I have posted honest reports by reputable spokesmen and boots on the ground. Every day since the war began I have tried to inform others through the daily posts of Sergeant Major Chaim Malespin of the IDF, who always gives an honest report from the field. Israel has an amazing leadership team and extremely competent group of soldiers who have carried out great exploits during this long war in preserving the safety and welfare of their nation, as well as the protection of our country. Iran has often chanted hatred not only towards Israel but also towards the United States, and the present leadership of Iran is a dynasty that has dealt harshly not only towards Israel, but they have tortured and mistreated their own people who live in fear of their control. As an American I am forever grateful to Israel's friendship and alliance to our country, and I am proud that our President is doing all he can to support their right to live freely and in peace. God has gifted the leaders and army of Israel with rare intellect and preparedness for strategic maneuvers and precise points of attack that minimize harm to Iran's population. The underground church in Iran is one of the fastest growing, so we want to remember to cover them in prayer during this time. Our God goes before the armies as the Captain of the Armies of Heaven, and although the missiles are flying, the battle is already won.

One of my favorite scriptures and the one that Israel prays is Psalm 121:

  "I will lift up my eyes to the hills -from whence comes my help?

My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps

Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Behold, He who keep Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade at

your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day

nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve

you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

The LORD shall preserve your going out and your

coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore."

Did you know that before the army of Israel goes out to battle that they pray and recite from the Torah, the words of the LORD? Israel is called to be a holy nation, a set apart people, and they truly are. Just like everywhere else, Israel has people who do not know or serve God, nonetheless God has called her to be holy, as He is Holy. We who have received Jesus as our Messiah, understand God's call to a holy life, because we believe in the finished work of the promised Messiah who has come and died to ransom us from our sins, and who is returning soon to establish His kingdom on earth, as the scriptures foretell. The word says that salvation will come through the Jewish people. This is hard for Gentiles to understand, but it is true and scriptural. Many times I have shared from Paul's words in Romans 11 on the relationship between Jews and Gentiles with regard to the covenant God has given through Abraham. We, as believers are part of this inheritance. God's word is so rich and wonderful. Powerful and glorious.

In closing, I pray this prayer over Israel, America, and for all nations who by faith have received Jesus as Savior and Lord and who walk beside our beloved Israel and her people:

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and the

mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and

be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah.

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,

the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;

He uttered His voice, the earth melted."

The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

Come, behold the works of the LORD, who has made desolations in the earth.

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and

cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!

The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah"

Psalm 46

"'No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

and every tongue which rises against you in judgment

you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the LORD, and

their righteousness is from Me,' says the LORD."

Isaiah 54:17
