"For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong hand,
and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people,
saying:
'Do not say, "A conspiracy," concerning all that this people
call a conspiracy, nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.'"
Isaiah 8:11-12
Today, on the eve of September 11, America experienced another tragic loss of life. People throughout our nation, as well as anyone who has been touched by his life, are mourning the death of Charlie Kirk at the age of 31. He was assassinated while he was doing what he felt called of God to do - share the truth with the troubled, confused, misguided people in our world, especially the younger generation. God hand-picked Charlie for this strategic mission, and he has opened the eyes of so many young people who are now serving the Lord, no longer confused about their identity, knowing who they are in Christ. Because he spoke out the truth, Charlie was hated by the enemy of our souls and those the devil has under his influence, operating in positions of leadership.
Charlie's wife Erika and their two children need our prayers, as do other family members and all who mourn his passing, including close friends, as well as followers, like me. There are many feelings - grief, sadness, confusion, horror, fear, and anger, as can be expected, but please do not fear, and do not hate. Jesus told us that we are to be angry, but sin not. We do not need to be posting negative, hateful responses. We need to be silent and listen. It is a time for us to get on our faces before a Holy God and repent, pray for the soul of this nation, State by State, repenting corporately for our past failures, present thoughts, actions, deeds, as we are all guilty of wrongful thoughts, especially now. God says we have all sinned, and to say otherwise, is to call God a liar.
This is not easy for me to say. I have had terrible three weeks of sitting before God dealing with the subject of motives, only to be bombarded by more and more, crying and asking God to show me what it is He is trying to say, and now this. Never in my life would I have dreamed of this day. Tomorrow we remember another tragedy, 9/11/2001, when our nation was ripped apart, devastated by hatred, the same hatred that is destroying our nation today. We can never forget. On 10/7 we will remember another tragedy of the slaughter of 1300 Jewish citizens, and the war continues, hostages still remain, and the people grieve. The world is grieving. And the only answer, the only response is Jesus.
So please, if you know Jesus, or even if you haven't made Him your Savior and Lord yet, call out to Him, pray, repent, and stand for righteousness and truth. Stand with Jesus as Charlie stood, and as the Apostles stood. They also were martyred for their faith, as Charlie was martyred today. One day, we may very well face the same fate, but only when we have fought the good fight of faith, and Jesus calls us home. The enemy cannot win in this situation. Charlie would be the first to tell you that Jesus gave His life for our sins, so we could live eternally with God in Heaven. But first we need to do what He said do and go to all the nations and spread the word, tell the truth of the Gospel. Help all the confused people in this world who are being led to believe lies, unhappy with who God created them to be, because some other person has been indoctrinated into the lies of the enemy and is pushing this wrong dogma onto them. Pastors stand up and do not be afraid to talk about the whole counsel of the word of God. Heavy things that are happening today should be discussed. If you don't do it, who will? People look to their pastors to be leaders. God called you to bear truth. The whole truth. In love, but don't love people to hell. That is NOT love, not the love of Jesus Christ. Have we forgotten the sacrifice, the heavy price He paid for our lives?
I am very tired, and I have a service to attend, honoring Charlie. So I hope whoever chooses to read this blog will bow their heads, get on their faces before God and repent. If your life does not line up with the word of God, get it right. If you believe Jesus and have accepted Him as Savior, but not Lord of your life, then get it straight. Decide what God you will serve, and be transformed. He is coming back, and it can be very soon.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course,
I have kept the faith."
2 Timothy 4:7
